The problem

Rod grows forage maize organically on coastal-plain soils in West Sussex. He gave us two fields, each split into treated and untreated blocks.

He agreed to something most product trials quietly avoid: measuring the result at full field scale, off the harvester, rather than from hand-cut sample plots chosen after the fact.

What we did

TerraScape Biome+ — a microbial soil inoculant, not a soil conditioner — went on during the 2026 season.

At harvest on 23 August 2026, the forage harvester’s own telemetry logged yield, area and moisture for every block.
